Respondents with more years of professional experience tend to have higher salaries, but how does that trend vary across other factors? (Note: In all graphs, be sure to hover over or click on each bar for tooltips.)
Mens' salary gains look similar to those of all respondents as a whole. While women and nonbinary/trans respondents are also more likely to have higher salaries with years of experience, the gains are not as consistent or large as their male counterparts..
Salary gains are similar across respondents who are and are not members of a historically disadvantaged or underrepresented racial or ethnic group. However, salary gains are somewhat less consistent for those who answered 'Yes'. This can be due, in part, to the survey having a smaller sample size of respondents who answered 'Yes'.
Across all education levels, respondents continue to earn higher salaries with more years of experience. This pattern is not necessarily more or less pronounced depending on the type of degree. (Note: Many education categories were dropped due to sample size.)
